The beginning of Advent

As Advent begins there are lots of events around Stokesley Deanery. In addition to each parish’s usual pattern of worship here are some of the services and events you might like to attend this weekend:

Angel Festival at Stainton

Peter and St. Paul’s Church, Stainton is holding their Angel Festival on Friday, 29th November, 3.30-6.00 pm, Saturday 30th November 2.00-4.30 pm and Sunday 1st December 3.00-4.00, to be followed by a Carol Service at 4.00 pm. All are welcome to come and see the Christmas Angels, add a name to the Memory Tree and there will be activities for children.

Christingles

There are several Christingle services being held this weekend:

Sunday 1st December, 10.30 am, Christingle at St. Mary Magdalene, Yarm. 

Sunday 1st December, 11.00 am Christingle Cafe Church at St. Peter and St. Paul, Stainton. 

Sunday 1st December, 4.00 pm Christingle Service at Christ Church, Great Ayton 

Collecting for those in need:

At Brookfield and Rudby there will be collections for children:

Sunday 1st December, 9.30 am ‘Toy Service’ at Brookfield Church. 

Sunday 1st December, 9.30 am ‘Gift Service’, All Saints, Rudby. 

Remembering those we have lost:

Sunday, 1st December, 3.00 pm, ‘Bridge of Light’ service to remember all those who have died. St. Martin and St. Hilary, Kirklevington. 

Christmas Fair:

Saturday, 30th November, 11.30-2.30 pm, Christmas Fair, St. Mary Magdalene, Yarm.
