Please double check dates and times of all the following events with the parish before you attend – this list took me several weeks to sort out so times/details may have changed!

Community, family and fund-raising events

Cream teas – at Chop Gate Village Hall on Easter Sunday, 1.00 – 5.00 pm, with stalls.

Cross purposes – Family fun on Good Friday (18th April) at St. Mary’s Church Hall, Nunthorpe with hot cross buns and crafts, 10 am – 12 noon.

Maundy Thursday

Great Ayton: Holy Communion, Christ Church, 7:30 pm

Ingleby Barwick: Holy Communion, St. Francis, 7.00 pm

Ingelby Greenhow, Bilsdale, Kildale, Kirkby: Holy Communion with stripping of the Altars at Kirkby in Cleveland, 10:00 am.

Nunthorpe: Eucharist at 7.30 pm followed by Watching at the Altar of Repose, then Compline at 10.00 pm.

Stokesley: Holy Communion with Watch and Compline – 7.30 pm.

Whorlton: Benefice Eucharist and watch of the Passion, Rudby, 7:30 pm

Yarm, Kirklevington, Worsall:

  • Eucharist and Stripping of the Altar – Kirklevington, 9.00 am
  • Liturgy of the Lord’s Supper and Vigil – St. Mary Magdalene, Yarm, 7.30 pm

Good Friday

Brookfield, Stainton, Hemlington, Hilton:

  • An hour at the Cross, 12 noon at Hilton
  • An hour at the Cross, 1 pm at Stainton
  • An hour at the Cross, 2 pm at Brookfield

Great Ayton

  • Walk of Witness led by Rev Rob Weir, from Christ Church Carpark at 11:45 am, finishing on High Green at 12:45 pm.
  • “Ninety Minutes Before the Cross” reflections led by the Archbishop of York at Christ Church, 1:30-3:00 pm,

Ingleby Barwick: Service at St. Francis, 12 noon.

Ingelby Greenhow, Bilsdale, Kildale, Kirkby: Walk from the Dudley Arms to St. Andrew’s, Ingleby Greenhow for a short service at 10:15 am.

Nunthorpe: An Hour at the Cross, at St. Mary’s – 2:00 pm

Stokesley:

  • Walk of Witness (Churches Together in Stokesley) starting from Stokesley Methodist Church steps, 11 am.
  • An Hour at the Cross, Stokesley Parish Church 2.00 pm.

Whorlton Benefice:

  • Walk of Witness, leaving Hutton Rudby Green at 11:00 am
  • Commemoration of the Passion, Swainby, 2:00 pm

Yarm, Kirklevington, Worsall:

  • Celebration of the Lord’s Passion and Proclamation of the Cross, St. Mary Magdalene, Yarm, 3.00 pm
  • Meditation, 10:00 am at Kirklevington.
