Quite a quiet weekend in the Deanery this weekend (26th and 27th October), with most parishes returning to normal service patterns after Harvest and before Remembrance Sunday. However there are a few events:
All Saints, Worsall will be holding their Patronal Service on Sunday 27th October at 10am which will be a Benefice Service.
Also on Sunday 27th October, at Hilton there will be a Service of Hope and Remembrance at 4.00 pm
On Tuesday, 29th October at St. Mary’s Church Hall, Nunthorpe, there will be a Coffee Morning at 10 am – 12 noon in aid of Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline Helping Hand for Ukraine.
It’s the season to give thanks for the harvest, and there are many Harvest Festivals taking place around the Deanery during October. You will be warmly welcomed at any of them!
Thursday October 3rd 7.00 pm. Harvest Festival at St. Cuthbert’s, Kildale, and food bank collection.
Friday, October 4th, 7.00 pm. Harvest Festival at St. Hilda’s, Chop Gate with Bilsdale Silver Band and supper in the village hall afterwards. There will be a food bank collection.
Saturday, October 5th, 9.30-11.30 am, Harvest Children’s crafts at Stokesley Parish Church.
Sunday, October 6th, 11.00 am Harvest Café Church at St. Peter and St Paul, Stainton.
Sunday, October 6th, 9.30 am, Harvest Festival at All Saints, Rudby
Sunday, October 6th, 9.30 am, Harvest Family Service, St. Peter and St. Paul, Stokesley.
Sunday, October 6th, 9.15 am, Harvest Festival at Christ Church, Great Ayton
Sunday, October 6th, 10.30 am, Harvest Festival at St. Mary Magdalene, Yarm, with collection of donated food.
Sunday, October 6th, 10.00 am, Family Harvest Festival at St. Martin and St. Hilary’s Kirklevington. Donations of produce to the Butterwick Hospice and Foodbank, financial donations to ARC.
Sunday, October 13th, 9.30 am, Harvest Festival at St. Andrews, Ingelby Greenhow, with refreshments and food bank collection.
Sunday October 13th, 10.00 am, Harvest Festival at St. Mary’s Nunthorpe. Donations for the foodbank.
Sunday October 13th, 9.30 am, Traditional Harvest Festival, St. Peter and St. Paul, Stokesley.
Sunday October 13th, 4.00 pm, Harvest Communion at Hilton.
Sunday, October 20th, 9.30 am Harvest Festival at St. Augustine’s, Kirkby, with themed refreshments in the Church Hall and food bank collection.
Sunday October 20th, 11 am, Harvest Festival at St. Oswald’s, Newton under Roseberry.
Yarm’s church cafe is open as normal on the 27th September, 9.30 am – 12.30 am but all proceeds will be going to Macmillan Cancer Support. Why not join them to support this good cause?
