This weekend sees All Saints’ Day on Sunday, and All Souls’ Day on Monday, and many churches in Stokesley Deanery are taking time this weekend to remember those we have loved and lost. You would be welcome at any of these services, and there may be others taking place which haven’t appeared in my list.
Saturday, 31st October:
There will be a Solemn Requiem at Swainby Church at 5 pm
Sunday, 1st November:
In Great Ayton, Christ Church, there will be a memorial service taking place at 6:00 pm.
Stokesley Parish Church has their ‘In memory’ service for those who have lost loved ones at 7:00 pm
St. Mary’s Nunthorpe will be holding their ‘Remembering Together’ service at 5.30, also on 1st November.
All Saints’, Hutton Rudby will be holding an All Souls service at 7:00 pm.
Monday, 2nd November:
On All Souls Day at Yarm Parish Church there will be a Choral Requiem at 7.30.
Other events this weekend:
On Saturday, 31st October Hilton Church is holding a ‘Light in the Night’ event for All Hallows’ Eve, with refreshments, at 5:00 pm.
All Saints’ Worsall are celebrating their patronal festival with a special service at 10:00 am on Sunday, 1st November.
Synod:
For Synod members, a reminder that our next Synod takes place on Wednesday 4th November, 7:00 for 7:30 at St. Augustine’s Church Hall, Kirkby in Cleveland.
