As we prepare for the arrival of the Prince of Peace we are holding a special Taizé style Evening Prayer on Saturday December 9th at 6 o’clock in Christ Church.
Many of you will have been to our summer season of Taizé style evenings in All Saints Church so will need no introduction to this time of tranquility; for those who were unable to join us you can expect 40 minutes of gentle sung chants, opportunities for quiet reflection, and a few words from scripture – a genuine chance to Be Still.
We have transferred to the warmth of Christ Church for this winter service and will return to All Saints in the summer of 2024.
The face-to-face safeguarding training sessions initially offered at the beginning of September have been re-arranged. Mark Sutcliffe writes:
The date for the training is now confirmed as Friday 3 November, Ingleby Greenhow Village Hall, 10am-3.30pm. Basic and Foundation training. Anyone in the Deanery who needs to do the training and prefers this method rather than online, they would be very welcome. If possible, could anyone who is coming just send me an email so I can keep a tally of numbers (or email on someone’s behalf if they don’t have access).
Mark Sutcliffe.
If you would like to attend this training, please contact the Deanery office (email stokesleydeanery@outlook.com) and your details will be passed to Mark.
