Pilgrim places, play and cakes!

As the summer holidays progress there are opportunities in the Deanery this week to walk in pilgrimage, attend a play session (for younger church members) and eat cake!

Saturday August 8th 

Kildale – St. Cuthbert’s Church, Pilgrim Pop-up Café 10 am – 2 pm  

Saturday August 8th  

Pilgrim Walk from St. Oswald’s , Newton under Roseberry to St. Cuthbert’s, Kildale. They are both Pilgrim places. The walk will take place on Saturday August 8th, leaving St. Oswald’s at 9.30 and hopefully arriving at St. Cuthbert’s between 12noon and half past. St. Cuthbert’s has a monthly cafe which will be open for walkers to share a snack/lunch together. The walk is around 8km. Anyone wishing to join the walk is very welcome. At St. Cuthbert’s, Kildale, the Pilgrim Pop-up cafe will be open for all visitors (not just those undertaking the pilgrimage) from 10 am – 2 pm.

Wednesday, 12th August 

‘Godly Play’ – a summer workshop is taking place at St. Augustine’s, Kirkby in Cleveland. 1.30-3.00 pm with stories and activities for children and their adults. If you would like to book, please contact anneheading8@gmail.com.

Saturday, 15th August.  

St. Mary Magdalene Yarm, there will be a Strawberry Tea in the Rectory Garden 3pm Tickets are £10.
