There are services throughout the Deanery on Palm Sunday (29th March 2026) with blessing and distribution of palm crosses. You would be welcome at any of them!

10:00 am, Whorlton Benefice – Benefice Procession & Eucharist . For walkers, start at Faceby at 10:00 am. For non-walkers, there will be a service at Carlton 11:00 am. If the weather is inclement the entire service will be at Carlton at 11:00 am.

Maundy Thursday in Stokesley Deanery

On Maundy Thursday (Thursday 2nd April 2026) there will be services taking place throughout the Deanery – you would be welcome at any of them. This isn’t an exhaustive list, so please check your home parish first!

10:00 am, Kirkby-in-Cleveland, Holy Communion 

6:00 pm,  Stainton – Bring-and-share Maundy Meal. This event is open to everyone, including everyone from the three Parishes in our Group 

7.30 pm, Stokesley – Holy Communion with the Watch and Compline 

7:30 pm, Yarm – Liturgy of the Last Supper and Vigil. 

7:30 pm, Great Ayton (Christ Church) – Holy Communion with the Stripping of the Altar 

7:30 pm, Nunthorpe – Eucharist / Watching at the Altar of Repose, followed by 10:00 pm – Compline 

8:00 pm, Rudby – Benefice Communion & Watch of the Passion
